Drums are pleasantly measured for a jazz trio, and so that much more poignant. Piano takes center stage confidently with great effect. Bass probably does dope shit...nah but yea, it definitely does.

I have been searching for jazzy music similar to "ambient jazz ensemble" I finally found it. sweet jazz, with electronic trip hop downtempo elements. I've listened to all the albums, and this one is my fave. it's impossible to pick a favorite, but it would either be, Juniper, hyperloop, crossings, or eight days lol.

Purchasing this wonderful "chamber jazz" album, I followed in the footsteps of "LeAhcim Retsehcnam", who owns a splendid jazz/fusion/avantgarde collection. This excellently sounding live recording shows in an exemplary way how the confines of contemporary jazz can be vastly expanded - here by fusioning a piano-bass-drums jazz trio with a classical string quartet, and incorporating classical counterpoint composing techniques.
